The Arizona Supreme Court will meet in Tucson on November 6th to hear the Republican challenge to the state’s expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. The Court will convene at 2 PM and hear oral arguments for about an hour at the UA College of Law. If you are interested in attending the hearing, you can sign up at: tinyurl.com/om9d9jq

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer pushed through the Medicaid expansion under strong pressure from the hospitals in the state. The legislation was passed with all Democrats voting yes, with a few Republicans. The vast majority of Republican legislators were opposed. They are now challenging the law on the grounds that it was a tax increase, which requires a two thirds majority of the legislature. Governor Brewer counters that it is not a tax increase, but a fee paid by hospitals.

The article fails to consider the value of the labor to the business paying for the labor.

Pierre, I suspect your deeper complaint is that it fails to give *preeminence* to the value of labor from the perspective of employers.
