Arizona’s sustained status as a bottom feeder now includes ranking #46, fifth from the worst, in the Best State for Working Moms category. We seem to hang out with Alabama (#48) a lot these days. Vermont is number one and Nevada is dead last.
Arizona’s total score was 37.50, about half of Vermont’s 63.90. In individual rankings Arizona was 45th in child care, 34th in professional opportunities, and 47th in work-life balance when it comes to mothers working to care for their children.
