OCCUPIED TUCSON CITIZEN

A found poem is a text that is so meaningful, musical, or unique that it can be appropriated, with credit to its original author (if known), by any prowling literateur.  Thus I claim the Public Notice of the Arizona Department of Environmental Qualities (ADEQ) proposal to issue Air Quality Control Permit no. 55223 to Rosemont Copper Co. for a copper mine to be located at Vail, Pima County.  Your (futile and frustrating) comments are solicited at www.rosemontairpermit@azdeq.gov.  The fix is In, of course, despite all the conclusive and grim research studies of many kinds are being ignored and whammed by rhetoric.

ROSEMONT COPPER    (plagiarists will be prosecuted.)

“The facility emits
the following air
contaminants:
nitrogen oxides,
sulfur dioxide,
volatile organic
compounds, sulfuric
acid mist, carbon
monoxide, green-
house gases, and
hazardous air
pollutants. ADEQ
also proposes
to offer oversight
of the mine’s day-
to-day operations
to Pima County
[sic] DEQ.”

P.S:  FYI:
This gift to the
environment,
dystopia, and
abolition of
species
and destruction
of landscape
is brought to
you by Canadian
and Chinese
companies, not
even American,
and they are
both bankrupt,
depending on
approval of
their plan
to gut Arizona.
Elsewhere in
U.S.A. are
other such
crises — earth
to be cratered
much like
the moon.
